Introduction
Gender studies has come a long way since its inception in the 1970s. Today, it encompasses a wide range of interdisciplinary approaches and has become a crucial field of study in understanding the complexities of gender and its impact on society. It examines the social and cultural constructions of gender, sexuality, and identity. It also explores the intersections of gender with other axes of difference, such as race, class, ethnicity, religion, disability, and age.
As we navigate through the 21st century, it is imperative that we continue to engage with the “contemporary issues and trends in gender studies” to stay abreast of the latest developments, changing realities and challenges.
From the impact of COVID-19 on gender relations to the rise of far-right movements, from the re-emergence of religion to the growth of woke culture, there is no shortage of issues to explore.
In this ‘call for chapters,’ we invite scholars, researchers, writers to contribute their insights and analyses on the most pressing issues in contemporary gender studies. We seek contributions that reflect the nuance and complexity of the field and offer fresh perspectives and innovative solutions.
With this volume, we hope to foster critical dialogue and deepen our understanding of various aspects of Gender.
